NBA Star LeBron James announced that he will not play in tonight’s All-Star Game due to ankle and foot discomfort.

LeBron James announced he would not participate in the 2025 NBA All-Star Game due to discomfort in his left foot and ankle. This decision ended his 20-year streak of consecutive All-Star starts.

James expressed his commitment to prioritizing his health, especially with 30 regular-season games remaining as the Los Angeles Lakers aim for a playoff spot. He plans to return to action in the upcoming games against the Charlotte Hornets and the Portland Trail Blazers.

His withdrawal, announced just hours before the game, drew criticism from fans and fellow players. Some felt his late notice deprived another deserving player of the opportunity to participate.

Despite James’s absence, his team, Shaq’s OGs, won the All-Star mini-tournament. Stephen Curry was named the event’s MVP, scoring 12 points.
