In a move that is set to revolutionize the motorsports landscape, the city of Las Vegas has confirmed a 10-year deal to host a Formula 1 race, starting in 2024. The event, which will be known as the Las Vegas Grand Prix, will take place on a brand-new, purpose-built circuit that will wind its way through the famous Las Vegas Strip.
“We are thrilled to bring Formula 1 back to the United States and to Las Vegas,” said Formula 1 CEO, Stefano Domenicali. “This is a momentous day for our sport, and we can’t wait to see the world’s best drivers battling it out on this incredible new circuit.”
The deal, which was announced at a press conference in Las Vegas, marks a major coup for the city, which has been vying to host a Formula 1 race for several years.
