Florida State football has not secured any wide receiver prospects in its 2025 recruiting cycle. In a recent article, we provided updates about two priority targets that could make the future Seminole offense special.
We all know about prospects such as Jaime Ffrench Jr., Vernell Brown III, Joshua Moore, and Daylan McCutcheon. However, one recruit that many are not discussing is five-star wide receiver Dallas Wilson from Tampa Bay Tech in Tampa, Florida.
The Seminoles have not had much success in the Tampa area. Hopefully, this is just the opportunity that the program needs to jump-start the pipeline. Wilson has been committed to the Oregon Ducks since January 2023.
There have been many recruits who have made their intentions known that they will be officially visiting Florida State this summer. The coaching staff has set it up where numerous prospects will be taking a trip to Tallahassee during the jam-packed June 21st weekend.
However, the Seminoles went with a different approach with the five-star talent as he will be officially visiting the program on the weekend of November 29th. This will be when Florida State will be taking on the arch-rival Florida Gators in Doak Campbell Stadium.
While I know that Doak Campbell Stadium will be at a lower capacity due to the renovations, it will still be a very highly anticipated game that I know Seminole fans will be excited about.
I believe that it is a smart decision to host Wilson for a regular season game this season. This will be a great opportunity to show him the atmosphere and the product on the field when the Seminoles are hopefully in contention for a College Football Playoff berth.
Plus, it probably wouldn’t do much good to host him this summer since it probably won’t do much to his commitment status with the Ducks.
