Cobie Durant, the third-year cornerback, made the most of his opportunity even though he only played in about half of Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders. With two tackles, one sack, a forced fumble, an intercepted pass, and another deflection in the Los Angeles Rams’ 20–15 victory in Week 7, Durant dominated the stat sheet. For his efforts, the NFL awarded him NFC Defensive Player of the Week. His dominance on Sunday afternoon this week certainly earned him the trophy, which he has won for the first time. Durant’s interception led to a Rams touchdown on the very next series, and Kam fumbled and recovered after his forced fumble following a blitz off the edge.
