The Alabama Crimson Tide lost a long-time member of their 2025 recruiting class Sunday afternoon, as Anthony Rogers officially announced that he was decommitting from the program.
Announced on social media, Rogers was the lone member of Alabama’s 2025 class still commitment from the Nick Saban era, as the former Crimson Tide commit had previously been committed since June of 2023.
An in-state prospect for the Crimson Tide, Rogers is rated as the nation’s No. 141 overall player in the 2025 recruiting cycle according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. A four-star prospect, Rogers is also ranked as the No. 8 running back nationally, as well as the No. 10 player in the state of Alabama where he attends Carver-Montgomery High School.
According to a report as well, Rogers will now choose between either the Georgia Bulldogs or Ohio State Buckeyes after decommitting from Alabama.
Following the decommitment of Rogers, which was Alabama’s third over the last week, the Crimson Tide’s 2025 class now ranks No. 4 nationally with 20 total commitments. Only one of those is a running back in highly-rated four-star Akylin Dear.
