The nation’s top ranked player in the class of 2025 will take an unofficial visit to BYU this weekend his father confirms
“We’re going to be in Utah this weekend to visit Utah Prep,” the elder Dybantsa told 247Sports.com. “My wife and I went there last month, this will be AJ’s first time in the great state of Utah. While we’re there why not visit BYU?”
One of the most dynamic wing players that 247Sports has been able to scout in the past 10 years, Dybantsa was in Kansas City, Mo. over the weekend competing with the Oakland Soldiers in Nike’s EYBL where he was as impressive as ever while burying a buzzer-beating three to win a matchup with 2026’s No. 1 ranked player Brandon McCoy.
“During the game’s closing minutes Dybantsa scored 10 of his game-high 19 points and included in the scoring microburst was a big-time lob finish from Stokes in transition, three clutch free throws with 19 seconds to go and then three from about 28 feet as the buzzer sounded to secure a 60-57 win.”
Thus far, Dybantsa has taken official visits to Auburn and USC while pretty much every major program in the country including the likes of Arkansas, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina and several others are giving chase.
Aside from the upcoming unofficial visit to BYU, no other visits have been planned.
Per Dybantsa’s father, the family is hoping to pick another five or six schools to visit sometime after Nike’s Peach Jam during the month of July.
