Manchester United trio Diogo Dalot, Bruno Fernandes and Andre Onana are among the nominees up for a place in the Premier League Fans’ Team of the Season.
While it was a challenging league campaign for United, the three aforementioned Reds have each been recognised for their efforts across it by being included on a 60-player shortlist, which will be whittled down by supporters in a public vote.
You can have your say and get behind our three representatives here, by selecting your own Premier League Team of the Season.
And, if you need it, below is a summary of the terms Dalot, Fernandes and Onana have had, leading to their nominations.
ANDRE ONANA’S IDOLS
ANDRE ONANA
38 appearances/9 clean sheets
The Cameroonian goalkeeper played every minute of his first Premier League campaign at United, picking up nine clean sheets along the way, with the most recent shutout coming in the 2-0 final-day victory at Brighton on Sunday.
Onana made more saves than any other keeper in the competition this term, with perhaps the best of his 149 stops winning April’s Save of the Month award. A sharp spring to his left to keep out a goalbound header from Burnley’s Lyle Foster was enough to claim the prize at the third time of asking, having previously been in contention to be awarded it for efforts against Luton in November and West Ham in February.
In a recent interview, Andre described his start to life in England as a hard time, but something that was a good moment for him to learn. Now, in his words, he knows the league, the people and the country, and can aim to build on that foundation in the years ahead.
Fellow goalkeeper nominees: Alisson (Liverpool), Ederson (Man City), Thomas Kaminski (Luton), Bernd Leno (Fulham), Emi Martinez (Aston Villa), Neto (Bournemouth), Jordan Pickford (Everton), David Raya (Arsenal), Guglielmo Vicario (Tottenham).
36 appearances/2 goals/3 assists
While the aforementioned Onana was the only United player to play in every one of our league matches, Dalot ties Alejandro Garnacho for the most appearances made by an outfield Red in the competition this season, with 36.
The full-back was been almost ever-present for Erik ten Hag’s side and had the versatility to feature from both the right and left sides of the defence, something that has been particularly valuable in a term where the manager has had to shuffle the pack at the back frequently, due to injuries.
As well as helping to keep seven clean sheets, Diogo tallied five goal contributions (two goals, three assists), which included a match-winning strike away to Sheffield United and the opener in our recent win at Brighton.
Fellow full-back nominees: Rayan Ait-Nouri (Wolves), Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Alfie Doughty (Luton), Pedro Porro (Tottenham), Antonee Robinson (Fulham), Kieran Trippier (Newcastle), Destiny Udogie (Tottenham), Kyle Walker (Man City), Ben White (Arsenal).

BRUNO FERNANDES
35 appearances/10 goals/8 assists
Tied with Dalot for the most league starts among United’s outfield players was his Portuguese compatriot Fernandes (35), as the midfielder led by example in his first campaign as the men’s team’s captain.
His 10 goals and eight assists were team-leading tallies for the term (Rasmus Hojlund also scored 10), with seven of those contributions coming during a stellar April, in which he was nominated for the top-flight’s monthly player award.
The Portugal international’s long-range strikes against Liverpool and Sheffield United in that period were season highlights, but perhaps no moment was more memorable from Bruno’s Premier League campaign than his scintillating game-winning volley away to Burnley. He recently voted his September Goal of the Month winner at Turf Moor as his favourite goal for the club.
Fellow midfield nominees: Kevin De Bruyne (Man City), Pascal Gross (Brighton), Bruno Guimaraes (Newcastle), Douglas Luiz (Aston Villa), Alexis Mac Allister (Liverpool), John McGinn (Aston Villa), Martin Odegaard (Arsenal), Declan Rice (Arsenal), Rodri (Man City).
