Tragic News: Baltimore Ravens Confirm Devastating News After Off-Road Tour Accident, Leaving 3 Players Injured and 1 Team Staff Member Dead
Baltimore, MD – The Baltimore Ravens organization has been left reeling after a devastating off-road tour accident involving several players and team staff members.
The incident occurred yesterday evening, when a guided off-road tour vehicle lost control and rolled over in a remote area of Western Maryland.
“We are shocked and saddened by this tragic event,” said Ravens owner, Steve Bisciotti. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims.”
Three Ravens players were injured in the accident:
– Linebacker, Patrick Queen (concussion, broken collarbone)
– Defensive tackle, Justin Madubuike (broken leg, lacerations)
– Wide receiver, Rashod Bateman (concussion, bruised ribs)
Tragically, Ravens’ defensive coordinator, Mike Macdonald’s brother, David Macdonald, 40, a team staff member, succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
“David was a valued member of our staff and a beloved friend,” said Ravens Head Coach, John Harbaugh. “His loss will be deeply felt.”
The off-road tour, operated by Maryland Off-Road Adventures, was a team-building exercise organized by the Ravens.
“We are cooperating fully with the investigation,” said Maryland Off-Road Adventures owner, Mark Thompson.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and Maryland State Police are leading the investigation.
“This is a devastating reminder of the risks associated with off-road activities,” said NTSB spokesperson, Eric Weiss.
Ravens players and staff have been offered counseling services to cope with the tragedy.
“The entire Ravens organization is in shock,” said quarterback, Lamar Jackson. “We’ll come together to support each other during this difficult time.”
A memorial service for David Macdonald will be held at M&T Bank Stadium on Friday.
